Guest Curators

We have welcomed a selection of guest curators to select their favourite pieces from our virtual gallery each week. Head over to our Instagram to find out more.

Rosie Wykes

Introducing our first guest curator…meet Rosie Wykes, a paper florist from the Midlands.

Her flowers are delicately recreated and crafted from Italian crepe paper. Beautiful. And what’s more, you don’t need antihistamines to enjoy them. 🌼

The special occasions she creates for may have drifted later into the year, but Rosie’s creativity and passion certainly hasn’t.

She’ll be picking her favourite three pieces from the virtual From Lockdown with Love gallery this week with the help of her daughter and her two cats – ‘Cat’ and ‘Luna’. 🐱

Keep your eyes on our feed for Rosie’s picks and check out what she’s been up to @soulbindingpaperflorals.

Sarah Clark

Meet guest curator #2…Sarah Clark 🍰 a Baker from Leicestershire at her very own Daisy Chain Bakery 🌼

Sarah’s cakes are beautifully crafted and are often designed to celebrate her customer’s unique quirks, loves and passions. Some of her most unique creations have included Van Gogh in cake and a three-tier homage to a couple’s motorbike tour around India 🏍

During Lockdown, @thedaisychainbakery kitchen has been closed but Sarah has been helping her loyal customers with gorgeous home recipes and baking challenges, keeping the creativity flowing for everyone 🧁

Sarah will be picking her favourite three entries from our virtual gallery this week, eyes up bakers!

Barney Wharam

Hello guest curator #3…🎨 🖼️ @barneywharam, an Artist from Bristol

Barney’s art is all about people – ‘In my art I’m obsessed with people and colour’. He enjoys using thick paint often using multiple layers and tones, swapping the paintbrush with his fingers for a tactile and striking effect.

During Lockdown, Barney has been painting more than ever and has been using his Bristol garden as a base. Check out his feed to see what he has been up to….

Sister Stitchers uk

Welcome to our final guest curators … 🧶 🧸 @SisterStitchersuk, crochet crafters

Sara and Jo both fell in love with their craft a few years ago and now teach crochet and yarn work for beginners and intermediates. They also offer bespoke crochet makes, whether it be things for the home, clothes or soft toys.

Throughout lockdown they have remained open, keeping their customers stuck inside stocked up with yarn and crochet projects to keep them busy. Sara and Jo truly believe in the power of crafts like crocheting to help mental wellbeing 💚
